Do Pendant Lights Need a Junction Box?

In most cases, pendant lights require a junction box for proper installation as it houses the electrical wires. It also provides structural support for the fixture. When installing pendant lights on a finished ceiling, you may need to drill through it and install a junction box yourself.

After connecting all the wiring to the junction box, hide them away inside the mounting device of our pendant light. It’s the black semi-sphere metal base that you can see in our Eclipse Dome Pendant

Can You Hang Pendant Lights Without a Junction Box?

Yes, you may if your pendant lights are designed to bypass the need for a junction box by plugging directly into a wall outlet. However, this is a temporary decorative solution, and we do not recommend it.

Can You Hang Pendant Lights Without a Cable?

Indeed, you can. All our pendant lights hang via an adjustable rod, so you won’t have to go through the hassle of cable management. All of the wirings are conveniently tucked inside the rod, so you won’t have to worry about them at all.
